When working on the Build My Own Hero Adventure, the Webelos Den invited two local heroes, teacher Miss Grace Hockenberry, far left, and retired Lt. Col. Todd Wheeler, an Eagle Scout, far right, to speak at a recent pack meeting. The Cub Scouts created handmade gifts for their heroes, a yard stick and a U.S. Flag.
Another successful pinewood derby! The scouts had fun racing their cars, raingutter regatta boats, and space derby rockets. Thank you to all the parents who helped in any way, and thank you once again to Shippensburg University for allowing us to hold this event on campus.
Cub Scouts celebrate Scouting’s Anniversary in February with a “birthday party” called the blue and gold banquet. The blue and gold banquet is one of the highlights of the year. It brings families together to celebrate the pack, thank leaders and other adults who have helped the pack, and to inspire all scouts and parents.
Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts from the Shippensburg area distributed empty food collection bags to local homes.
Scouts collected and delivered donated items to King’s Kettle Food Pantry. Thank you for your generosity!
